Bulk Address Upload

Modified on Fri, 22 Nov, 2024 at 9:35 AM

Our platform provides a bulk upload function to allow users to generate rebuild costs values for multiple assets at the same time. We do this by uploading a SOV with the corresponding mapping file.

SOV: ‘Schedule of Value’. This is a csv file which contains the property addresses to be uploaded and their corresponding Input Id

Mapping File: The corresponding JSON file.

Follow the below steps to process a bulk upload of assets. This process can be started from any page of the platform.

1. Click "Bulk Upload" in the left navigation panel on any page.

2. You will be redirected to the Bulk Upload page where any previous bulk uploads that have been completed are displayed.

3. To start a new bulk upload, click "Upload SOV" in the top right corner of the page.

4. A pop-up will open prompting the user to select an asset group. Like with single address upload, the user can either:

  • Choose an existing asset group from the drop down

  • Create a new asset group from the drop down by selecting ‘Create new Asset Group’. A new field appears for the user to input the new asset group name

5. The user will then need to select a SOV file to upload. To do this click the ‘Choose File’ button.

6. A file explorer will open. Select the correct file.

7. The user will also need to select the corresponding Mapping file to upload. To do this click this ‘Choose File’ button.

8. A file explorer will open. Select the correct file.

9. Skip first row is selected by default here as the first row of the SOV File is the heading row and therefore does not include valid data.

  • IF the SOV file does not include a header row the user will need to DESELECT ‘skip first row’.

10. Click "Upload SOV"

11. You will see a success message showing that the SOV and Mapping files have been successfully uploaded and then will be redirected to the Bulk Upload screen.

12. A new SOV Upload card will be displayed on the screen – this shows the progress of the current upload and shows the user how many assets have been processed so far, how many have been successful and how many have failed.

13. Click "Home" to return to the homepage.

14. Click the dropdown next to the selected asset group.

15. You will see the successful assets from the SOV upload are now part of this group. (You may need to refresh the browser page).
