Single Address Upload

Our platform provides a function to allow a user to input a single address, locate an asset, and then generate a rebuild cost for that asset. Follow the steps below to upload a single asset to the platform. You can start this process from any page of the platform.

Search by address

1. Click "Single Upload" in the left navigation panel from any page.

2. You will be redirected to the Single Address Upload page.

3. The user needs to select an asset group for this single upload to be saved in.They can either: 

• Choose an existing asset group from the drop down 

• Create a new asset group from the drop down by selecting ‘Create new Asset Group’.

4. Click the dropdown button on the 'Asset Group' and select 'Create new Asset Group'

5. Click the "Insert group name..." field.

6. Enter the new asset group name

7. Click the "Property Address" field.

8. Enter the address of the property you want to search for.

9. Click "Search for address"

10. You will be redirected to the asset page.

11. Click "Home" to return to the homepage.

12. You will see the new asset group in the asset group table. Click the dropdown to see the new asset. (You may need to refresh the browser page).

13. If you wish to add a single address to an existing asset group, click the dropdown button on the 'Asset Group' and select the asset group you want to choose.

14. Click the "Property Address" field.

15. Enter the address of the property you want to search for.

16. Click "Search for address"

17. You will be redirected to the asset page.

18. Click "Home" to return to the homepage.

19. Click the dropdown next to the selected asset group to see the new asset. (You may need to refresh the browser page).

Search by UPRN 

What is a UPRN? 

UPRN stands for Unique Property Reference Number and every property in the UK has one. These are more specific than addresses as sometimes addresses can be incomplete and resolve incorrectly, making searching by UPRN more reliable. If you would like to find the UPRN of a property you can use sites such as https://uprn.uk/ to find it.

1. Follow steps 1-6 or 13-14 outline above to create or select an asset group.

2. Click the "UPRN" field.

2. Enter the property UPRN.

3. Click "Search for address"

4. You will be redirected to the asset page.

5. Click "Home" to return to the homepage.

6. Click the dropdown nex to the selected asset group to see the new asset. (You may need to refresh the browser page).

7. You will see the new asset in the selected group.
